چکیده

Abstract The increased presence of medical AI in clinical use raises the ethical question which standard explainability is required for an acceptable and responsible implementation AI-based applications contexts. In this paper, we elaborate on emerging debate surrounding standards AI. For this, first distinguish several goods usually considered to contribute general, specific. Second, propose understand value relative other available norms explainable decision-making. Third, pointing out that accept heuristics uses bounded rationality decision-making by physicians, argue decisions should not be measured against idealized diagnostic process, but according practical considerations. We conclude, fourth, resolve issue explainability-standards relocating AI’s certifiability interpretability.

Decision making in medical domains

Methods developed in the field of artificial intelligence and especially in machine learning have seen an increasing popularity among professionals in the medical domain. Medical doctors are often faced with decisions regarding the treatments their patients should undertake and AI has developed specific techniques that can suggest the most fortunate choices based on past experience. During my s...

Medical Decision Making using

Bayesian Belief Networks (bbns) play a relevant role in the eld of Artiicial Intelligence in Medicine and they have been successfully applied to a wide variety of medical domains. An appealing character of bbns is that they easily extend into a complete decision-theoretic formalism known as Innuence Diagrams (ids). Unfortunately, bbns and ids require a large amount of information that is not al...

Analysis of medical-decision making and the use of standards of care in oncology

Guidelines in medicine have been proposed as a way to assist physicians in the clinical decision-making process. Increasingly, they form the basis for assessing accountability in the delivery of healthcare services. However, experiences with their evaluation, as the most important step in the continuous guidelines process, are rare. Patient Care Evaluation Studies have been developed by the Com...

Ranking Decision-Making Units Using Double-Frontier Analysis ‎Approach

Data envelopment analysis is a nonparametric method for measuring the performance of a set of decision-making units (DMUs) that consume multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs. Using this approach, the performance of DMUs is measured from both optimistic and pessimistic views. However, their results are very misleading and even contradictory in many cases. Indisputably, different performanc...
